Broadside is a messy breakup story set to music: Britain and America, once in harmony, fall out of sync in a war of words before the first musket is fired. In pre-Revolutionary Boston, broadsides were everywhere, sharp and fast, working like the first social memes, shaping public opinion overnight in taverns, streets, and meeting halls across the colonies.
